RG European Champions 2014

Rhythmic Gymnastics European Championship was held in Baku (Azerbaidjan) last weekend. On Saturday adult gymnasts competed for the first prize in all around. Gold medal was given to the current and absolute world champion Yana Kudryavtseva, who got 73,499 for all the 4 routines, Yana beat Melitina Staniouta from Belarus and Ganna Rizatdinova from Ukraine. The second Russian gymnast Rita Mamun left the competition for the main prize after the first hoop routine, taking just 16,000 for it. So, she was the 5^th as the result.

Junior gymnasts competed for the medals in individuals. And all the 4 medals were given to the Russian juniors. Irina Annenkova was the best in ball and ribbon routines, Iulia Bravikova got medal for the hoop and Olesya Petrova  - for the clubs.

Group finals took place on the last day of the European Championship in Baku. Bulgarian Team took the first place for the clubs routine having beaten the Team Russia and Team Spain. However, balls and ribbons routines were best performed by the Team Russia. Azerbaijanin team was the second and Bulgarian – the third one.
